1. Choose your privacy settings
Select Allow charts & videos to load TradingView and YouTube. Select Keep external media off to read guides and use calculators without them. The Privacy choices button at the bottom of every page lets you change your mind.
2. Get a market overview
On the homepage, scroll to Markets. Use the US Indices, Canada, Global, Commodities or Currencies tab. Read the provider’s timestamps and labels: some instruments are CFDs or ETFs rather than the cash index, and prices may be delayed.
3. Build a watchlist
Under My watchlist & interactive chart, enter an exchange and ticker such as NASDAQ:AAPL. Press the plus button. Select the symbol to change the chart. Use its interval and chart-style controls for candles, lines or other views. Use × to remove a symbol. The list stays on this browser only.
4. Explore the calendar and heatmap
The heatmap groups stocks into sectors; a coloured rectangle shows the selected metric, not an investment recommendation. The calendar lists scheduled economic events. Check event timezone, revisions and provider data before relying on an entry.
5. Find and save a guide
Open Research. Type a topic or use the topic filter. Open a guide, use the contents links, enlarge its text or choose Save guide. Saved status is local to this browser. Use Print guide for a paper copy or your browser’s Save as PDF option.
6. Use a calculator
Open Calculators and select a tool from the library. Choose your reporting currency, then replace each assumption with your own values. Read any validation message. Currency conversion uses the rate you enter; it does not fetch live rates. Projections are illustrative.
7. Build a repeatable process
Open Investor toolkit. Tick a question only after you have checked the evidence. Print your checklist if useful. A completed list does not mean an investment is safe or suitable.
8. If a chart or video is unavailable
Check that external media is allowed, then use Reload chart or Open provider. Browser content blockers, network restrictions, regional licensing and provider outages can affect widgets. We cannot guarantee every exchange or broadcast is available.
9. Read comfortably
Use Dark or Light at the bottom of the screen. Larger text is available inside guides. Your browser’s zoom also works. On a phone, use the menu button near the logo to find the sections.
10. Report a correction
Open Contact and use the email link. Include the page address, the statement and a reliable supporting source. Do not send account passwords, identity documents or trading instructions.
