Bluegrass music symbol Reba McEntire sang the public hymn before the Kansas City Bosses and San Francisco 49ers went head-to-head in the 2024 Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 11.
The three-time Grammy champ has an exceptional history with the melody. McEntire was found as a vocalist a long time ago at the 1974 Public Finals Rodeo in Oklahoma, when she sang the public song of devotion, as per her site. She’s played out the public hymn at various occasions from that point forward, yet This was her most memorable Super Bowl execution.
“This ain’t my most memorable rodeo! I’d never have imagined it when I sang the song of praise at the Public Finals Rodeo quite a while back that I’d be singing it today at the Super Bowl,” she expressed Sunday on the ball.

McEntire I plunked down with the hosts of “CBS Mornings” in January to discuss how she was planning for the exhibition.
“You simply warm up as you do a show and sing it around five or multiple times, and Get in there and do it,” McEntire said.

Post Malone, singing “America the Lovely,” and Andra Day, singing “Lift Each Voice and Sing,” additionally performed during the pregame. The half-time show will highlight Usher.
Last year, Chris Stapleton sang the public song of praise at the Super Bowl.
